If you are not familiar with my mini sessions, they are a perfect way to get great images without breaking the bank! All of my mini's are 20-30 minutes, so arriving on time is crucial or else it will cut into your session time! All of my mini's come with disc with a print release! Newborns are not allowed for mini sessions. This is perfect for holiday cards or gifts! I always with suggest a couple of labs for your printing needs!

Play Dough anyone...?

Here is a post NON photography related but certainly kid related!!

When I was a kid my Mom always made Play Dough with us. So last night Justin had to make a rattlesnake for a school project so I decided we would make our own custom colored play dough!

I tripled the batch so my other 2 kids could join in the fun as well!

I wanted to share this recipe with my friends so you and your kids can have just as much fun as we did!

Play Dough

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup of salt

1 tablespoon Alum

1 tablespoon Oil

7/8 cup of water

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan on the stove and keep stirring until the dough achieves a "dough" consistency!

After the dough cools enough to tough divide the dough so the kids can make different colors. Add as many drops of food coloring until your get your desired color. The more the kids work the dough or just play with it, the more the color works itself in!

I usually make a double or triple batch! Also haven't heard of "Alum"..? Its found in the spice isle at the grocery store!!

These sessions will run from November 29th-December 5th... The session fee is $100.00, this includes a disc with 10-15 images to use as gifts, cards or to use for a memory book!

Your session will be 45min, so we won't be able to photograph trimming your whole tree but most of it!

Once upon a time I enjoyed voluteering my time for children, at school, soccer and even at Shriners Children's Hospital! I always thought I wanted to be a nurse and work at Shriners. The children there are AMAZING and those years forever changed my life!!

As days went on I had one .. two... and three... children! I have always wanted to adopt but my husband is not on board with that idea and I respect that 100%! I allow my kids to do alot more than they should, Vance draws on the walls, they ride bikes in the house, put whip cream in their hair! Its memories, make them... childhood goes by way too fast!!

I have always made it very important to capture every important memory in my life on camera! Little did I know my hobby would become my profession.

So for most of you wonder why I do not do alot of weddings, seniors or engagements now I hope you understand why! I LovE kids! Everything thing about every different personality I photograph!

A small bitty newborn with their whole entire life an open book! A two year old boy who runs crazy, its SOOO them and I love it!!

I am very slowly making my way to a newborn, children and family photographer only!

I will start first with the beach, as summer will soon be creeping into fall I would like to know if any of you would be interested in a beach session in Santa Cruz... it is a small beach close to the boardwalk complete with boats, rocks, and a lighthouse! I headed to Napa to meet up with this newly engaged couple and we got some amazing pictures!

They are so cute together and I LOVE the way he makes her laugh.... its priceless!!

A day in the park!

My youngest child asks me everyday to go to the park. So after we drop of sister and brother at school its just Vance and I for four hours. Today we filled up our bellies with lunch then went to our usual park at our usual time, but it was anything but usual. We played, walked, talked, Vance caught alot of Ladybugs.... then while he played I walked around and decided to create a few textures for my work. So I did just that... concrete, wood, recycled tire, and sand all makes great art! Plus I've been putting off getting some images together to be printed for note cards.... now I have a few! Enjoy!!

And if anyone is interested in my "park" textures let me know I'd be happy to share!

Every month I will have a weekend of mini sessions.

Not sure what a mini session is.....???

It is a session cut in half for half of the price! I always include something different with your session! As we are just wrapping up the Valentine mini, I was coming up with March mini ideas..... and just realized Easter is April 4th! So our March mini will be the weekend of the 20th and 21st! It will be a $75.00 session fee with a 11x14 storyboard... a sample will be posted here for you all to see... Location is still TBA depending on the weather!

Sometimes just by going on a drive I feel inspired, and today was one of those days! So I talked to kids into modeling for me, while my 3rd one slept in the car. Driving out towards the country you always see alot of couches people dump off, so I thought it would be cool to do a crazy shoot with the theme "couches".... Well my Alyssa would have no part of it, but Justin took off his button up school shirt and decided he would be a part of Mom's couch idea!

I'll have to take some pictures of Vance since he slept through this one!

p.s.... the second image down of Alyssa is my fav because it is SO SO hard to get a real smile out of her.... so this one will make the wall!

Ok folks here are all the nitty gritty details on this deal.

You will have 30 min. with up to five people in your session. Each additional person is $10.00. Your shoot includes 25 Holiday Cards.

If you wish to add the picture package or 25 additional cards it is an additional $25.00.

The day of the shoot I will provide you with a variety of cards to take home and choose from. Your photos will be available to view online 2 weeks following the shoot. At that time you will choose 1, 2, or 3 photos to add to your card.

It'll will take a 1 - 2 weeks to recieve your holiday cards.

VERY IMPORTANT

When booking your appointment I will mail you out a form confirming your appointment time and some other minor details. I will NEED this form back with a $25.00 deposit to reserve your spot.
